KTG mourns the passing of Carrier
Kriska Transportation Group (KTG) is mourning the passing of Pierre Carrier, the company’s recently retired founding chief financial officer. Carrier passed away on Feb. 22, surrounded by family, following a battle with cancer, KTG announced in a news release.
Carrier joined Kriska Holdings in 2003 as vice-president of finance. KTG said that his influence extended beyond the company alone, as he mentored and shaped the careers of many within the industry, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues and business partners alike.
“Beyond his contributions to KTG’s success, Pierre’s legacy lives on in his work with Fleet Resolutions, his leadership in our insurance captive, his long-standing partnership with Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies program [for] 21 years, and his trusted relationships in the banking sector—to name just a few,” the announcement reads.
“Pierre was a true professional, both at work and in life,” KTG said in a statement. “At his core, he was a dedicated family man. Our deepest condolences go out to his immediate and extended family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.”
Know Human Trafficking announces founding members
Know Human Trafficking has introduced its founding members, marking National Human Trafficking Awareness Day by highlighting the individuals leading its mission to educate the public, raise awareness, and support survivors.
The organization’s leadership team includes Ken Adams as chairman, Jeff McKay as vice-chairman, Shelley Walker as president, Fiona Stone as secretary, Kirsty Soares as treasurer, and directors Shea Merriman and Isabelle Fournier.

ATRI appoints Troian to board of directors
The American Transportation Research Institute appointed Gregg Troian, president of PGT Trucking, to its board of directors.
Troian brings more than 40 years of transportation industry experience, with 38 years at PGT Trucking, where he has held multiple leadership roles in operations, business development, and executive management. According to a news release, he has also served as president and CEO of a major third-party logistics company and remains a PGT board member, playing a key role in the company’s Future of Flatbed initiative, which focuses on innovative technology and zero-emissions equipment.
His industry involvement extends across multiple organizations, including the American Trucking Associations, Truckload Carriers Association, Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, and the Ryder Carrier Advisory Board, and more.
Stoughton Trailers founder inducted into Wisconsin Manufacturing Hall of Fame
Don Wahlin, founder of Stoughton Trailers, has been inducted into the Wisconsin Manufacturing Hall of Fame by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC). He is the 80th inductee into the Hall of Fame.
Wahlin, a Wisconsin native, founded Stoughton Trailers in 1961 after purchasing the assets of a small, bankrupt business. Over the next four decades, the company transformed into one of North America’s largest trailer manufacturers, eventually making it the largest manufacturer in its home county, according to a news release.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to be inducted into the Wisconsin Manufacturing Hall of Fame,” Wahlin said. “None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our talented team of employees and the support and continued leadership of my family. It’s a true privilege to join these Wisconsin icons as an inductee.”
Beyond his impact on the trailer industry, Wahlin served as a pilot in the Air National Guard for 23 years and, alongside his wife Carol – with whom he raised eight children – founded The Wahlin Foundation, which has supported local projects including the Stoughton Youth Center, VFW Memorial Park, Evansville Aquatic Center, Stoughton Hospital, and Stoughton Library.
Hutto joins Truck Parking Club as chief relationship officer
Truck Parking Club has announced the appointment of Brent Hutto as its chief relationship officer, bringing decades of trucking industry experience to the company as it works to address the ongoing truck parking crisis in the U.S.
Hutto, who previously held leadership roles at Truckstop and Randall Reilly, built a career focused on developing solutions for truckers, according to the news release. He remains a senior advisor to Truckstop.
