This week, DHL appointed Markus Voss as a new CEO of DHL Freight as of Sept. 1, and Daimler Truck has welcomed Marcus Poppe as a new head of investor relations, treasury, while Christian Herrmann became head of corporate development on July 1. Meanwhile, Goodyear has appointed Ryan Reed as vice-president of investor relations, and Cargobull North America named Trevor Brown as director of logistics and aftermarket services.
DHL Freight appoints Markus Voss as new CEO
Markus Voss, currently chief development officer at DHL Supply Chain, will become CEO of DHL Freight on Sept. 1. He will succeed Uwe Brinks, who is stepping down after nearly nine years leading the road freight division. Voss will report to Tim Scharwath, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, and will join the division’s management board.

Voss has held various roles at DHL over the past 20 years, leading transformation efforts across operations, IT, and digitalization. As chief development officer, he was responsible for sales, marketing, service logistics, solutions design, and product growth strategies.
“Markus Voss, with his strong track record in performance-focused standardization, digitalization, and innovation at DHL Supply Chain, is the ideal candidate to succeed Uwe and elevate the business to new heights. Particularly in the areas of standardization through digitalization and fostering further cross-divisional synergies, he will drive the business forward,” said Scharwath in a news release.
Daimler Truck names Poppe head of investor relations, treasury; appoints head of corporate development
Marcus Poppe will join Daimler Truck as head of investor relations effective Sept. 1, 2025, the company announced in a news release. Starting July 1, 2026, he will also assume responsibility for the company’s treasury function. In this combined role, Poppe will report directly to Eva Scherer, chief financial officer of Daimler Truck AG.
Poppe joins the company from DWS Group, where he began his career as an equity fund manager in 2010. Most recently, he served as co-head of European equities, leading the European equities team.

“With Marcus Poppe, we are strengthening our capital markets expertise by bringing on board a seasoned professional with many years of in-depth experience,” said Scherer in the release. “I look forward to working with him to build on our ongoing efforts to demonstrate Daimler Truck’s financial strength to the capital markets and to support the continued evolution of our treasury function.”
Claus Bassler will continue to lead the treasury and tax operations until his retirement in June 2026.
In a separate move, Daimler Truck has also appointed Christian Herrmann, currently head of investor relations and M&A, as head of corporate development, effective July 1, 2025. Herrmann will lead a newly consolidated unit combining M&A, corporate strategy, and real estate. He will report directly to Karin Radstrom, president and CEO of Daimler Truck AG.
Herrmann will continue to oversee investor relations until Poppe’s appointment in September 2025.
Goodyear names Reed vice-president of investor relations
Goodyear has appointed Ryan Reed as vice-president of investor relations, effective July 14. He will report directly to Christina Zamarro, executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
Reed brings more than 15 years of experience in investor relations, corporate development, and financial planning and analysis, according to a news release. Most recently, he served as vice-president of corporate development, investor relations, and FP&A at Wabash National. His previous roles include director of investor relations and corporate economist at Parker Hannifin.

Cargobull North America appoints director of logistics, aftermarket services
Cargobull North America has appointed Trevor Brown as director of logistics and aftermarket services, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Brown will oversee all aftermarket parts operations, including sales, purchasing, and the shipment of replacement and retrofit parts to dealers. He will also manage logistics and parts coordination for new 3000R trailers equipped with Cargobull reefer units.
Brown will lead the rollout of aftermarket support through Cargobull’s PartnerConnect dealer portal, which streamlines warranty processing, technical assistance, and other dealer support services.
Based in Eagle Pass, Texas, Brown joins Cargobull after managing operations in other areas at Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company. His background positions him to support Cargobull’s expansion of services across North America, the announcement said.
