Halifax container terminal operator updating truck appointment system

1 min read

Halifax container terminal operator PSA Halifax is updating its truck appointment system.

From July 21, it will begin enforcing half-day time slots to enhance operational efficiency, according to a news release. This change is aimed at improving truck turnaround times and supporting more effective terminal planning, the operator informed.

Appointments must be booked within one of the following time blocks: morning – 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and afternoon 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We understand that delays can occur. Please note that truckers arriving near the end of a time block (e.g. close to 12 p.m.) will not be turned away if congestion at the gate is the cause. We will continue to exercise flexibility in such cases,” the release stated.

Communication channels will also be streamlined. Effective July 16, the new centralized customer care email is psah-customercare@globalpsa.com and the phone/WhatsApp number for both terminals is 902-333-9350.
