This week, International announced Gabriel Duarte-Urrutia will join the company in September as its executive vice-president and chief human resources officer, and Phillips welcomed Peter Harker as chief financial officer (CFO). Flo Components has promoted Roger Freitas to director of operations after 18 years with the company, and TransPro welcomed Vanessa Hillen as its new director of pricing, service and continuous improvement.
International names Duarte-Urrutia chief human resources officer
International Motors has appointed Gabriel Duarte-Urrutia as executive vice-president and chief human resources officer, effective Sept. 1. He will lead the company’s global HR strategy with a focus on workforce and talent development, culture change, and employee engagement. Duarte-Urrutia will serve on International’s executive board and report to president and CEO Mathias Carlbaum.
He has more than 25 years of experience in global human resources leadership across the automotive, industrial technology, and healthcare sectors.
“Gabriel brings years of expertise in building agile, people-focused organizations at scale,” said Carlbaum. “His global leadership experience and focus on driving organizational excellence through people makes him the right leader to help us shape the future of International.”
Duarte-Urrutia joins from Aptiv, where he most recently served as vice-president of human resources for Signal & Power Solutions and global labor relations, overseeing HR strategy for business units across mobility, telecom, military, and medical sectors. He previously held senior roles at Aptiv managing global HR for Electrification Distribution Systems and regional operations in the Americas.
Earlier in his career, he led HR teams at Cardinal Health, Honeywell, Motorola, and Sony, with responsibilities including organizational transformation, labor and employee relations, and international HR strategy.

Phillips appoints Harker as chief financial officer
Phillips has named Peter Harker as CFO to help support the company’s financial strategy and long-term growth across its divisions, including Phillips Industries, Phillips Connect, and Phillips Europe.
Harker will oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, working capital optimization, and a capital structure that ensures financial resilience.

“Peter is exactly the right person to provide the kind of financial rigor and leadership that will enable us to embrace our growth opportunities,” said Rob Phillips, CEO of Phillips, in a release.
Harker brings decades of experience in CFO and other financial leadership roles, including with private-equity-backed companies in the manufacturing, technology, medical device, and supply chain sectors. He most recently served as CFO of Dynex Technologies and previously worked at Deloitte.
Energy Transportation Group names Mansour executive vice-president of finance
Energy Transportation Group, a Montreal-based 3PL, has appointed Fady Mansour as executive vice-president of finance.
Mansour brings more than 25 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, and finance to the role, the company said in a news release. Before joining Energy, he was chief financial officer at Loop Industries and spent more than two decades at CN in senior leadership roles in strategy, innovation, corporate development, and financial planning.
He also served as senior director and board member for infrastructure at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and held board positions at DP World Canada, Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone, Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, and AES Indiana.
“Fady’s track record in both the public and private sectors makes him an outstanding fit for Energy as we enter a new phase of growth and transformation,” said Michael Cinquino, CEO of Energy Transportation Group, in a release. “His leadership will help us strengthen financial strategy, manage risk effectively, and support business expansion with sound, data-driven decision-making.”
In his new role, Mansour will oversee all financial operations, including planning, analysis, reporting, and governance, while working closely with other business units.

Flo Components names Freitas director of operations
Flo Components has promoted Roger Freitas to the newly created role of director of operations, expanding his authority over staffing, budgeting, planning, and day-to-day decision-making across the company’s operational areas.
Freitas has been with Flo since 2007, when he became the company’s first operations manager, according to a news release.
Before joining Flo, Freitas worked in quality assurance and management roles across several industrial and B2B companies. His career spans more than 30 years, including leadership positions such as director of quality, safety, and environment.
“Over the past 18 years, Roger has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, sound decision-making, and a deep commitment to Flo’s culture of teamwork and shared success,” the company said in a release.
TransPro appoints director of pricing, service and continuous improvement
TransPro welcomed Vanessa Hillen as its new director of pricing, service and continuous improvement.
Hillen brings more than a decade of experience in transportation and logistics, with expertise in operations, fleet management and customer service. She previously built a parcel division from the ground up at Wellington Group of Companies and has managed safety, compliance and pricing strategies, consistently driving efficiency and service performance throughout her career, TransPro said in a LinkedIn announcement.
