Trucking Announcements: C-suite appointments at Aurora, Netradyne

This week, Autonomous truck maker Aurora has welcomed Cori Davis as its new chief people officer, and Pitstop named Reed Clarke as its new vice-president of sales. Meanwhile, Netradyne has named Smita Sanadhya as its new chief financial officer, and appointed Tom Schmitt, the previous CFO, as company’s chief operating officer.

OK Tire partnered with Hockey Canada to help ease the cost of minor hockey participation and support local associations across the country.

Aurora announces C-suite appointment

Autonomous truck maker Aurora has welcomed Cori Davis as its new chief people officer (CPO). She brings more than 25 years of human resources experience to the new role, the company said in a LinkedIn announcement, adding that that Davis’ leadership will be invaluable as the company continues to scale up operations.

She joins Aurora from Genentech, where she most recently served as CPO for nearly four years. She started her journey there in 2009 as a principal organization development consultant, working her way up the career ladder to senior director of human resources in 2013.

Her other experience includes senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Roche, Deloitte Consulting, and more.

Netradyne appoints new CFO, moves Schmitt to COO role

Netradyne has named Smita Sanadhya as its new chief financial officer (CFO) while moving Tom Schmitt into the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO), the company announced in a news release on Aug. 14.

Sanadhya will be responsible for financial strategy worldwide, as she brings more than 25 years of multinational finance leadership to the role, including time as CFO at Abnormal AI and senior vice-president of financial planning and analysis at Okta, where she helped scale revenue to more than US$2 billion.

Her career also includes more than a decade at Microsoft in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, along with earlier roles at HP, Gap, Twentieth Century Fox, and GE Capital.

Schmitt, who had served as CFO since 2021, will focus on operational efficiency and cross-functional execution in his new role as COO. Prior to joining Netradyne, Schmitt served as CFO, COO, and other senior finance roles at various technology companies, including Postclick and Salesforce.

“As we position Netradyne for our next phase of growth, Smita’s global experience, paired with Tom’s proven operational leadership, are the right combination to guide us forward,” said Avneesh Agrawal, CEO and co-founder, in the release.

Clarke appointed VP of sales at Pitstop

Pitstop, an AI-powered fleet management software provider, has named Reed Clarke as its new vice-president of sales. Clarke first joined the company in January last year as senior account executive.

“The past 18 months have been amazing helping fleets add AI to their day to day operations, saving hours per day and millions of dollars per year by running a more efficient fleet,” he said in a LinkedIn post.

“Now, I am excited to help shape and develop our revenue motions including sales, marketing, customer success and strategic partnerships.”

Clarke’s previous experience includes executive and leadership roles at companies like 6sense, Shift Paradigm, LeadMD, Trapp Technology, and more.

OK Tire, Hockey Canada launch minor hockey registration program

OK Tire, in partnership with Hockey Canada, has launched the OK Tire Drive to Play program, aimed at easing the cost of minor hockey participation and supporting local associations across the country.

Thirteen young players — one from each of Hockey Canada’s members — will receive $500 toward their registration fees for the upcoming season, OK Tire said in a news release. Players’ local associations will also receive $1,500 each from OK Tire to support programming and facilities.

“OK Tire is committed to supporting Canada’s national game, our dealers aren’t just business owners – they’re hockey parents, volunteers, coaches and lifelong fans,” said Shane Butner, director of marketing and communications. “Together we’re proud to support Canada’s game by helping families with the costs and making sure kids can lace up and play.”

“We are grateful for OK Tire’s commitment and dedication to investing in grassroots hockey with all 13 of our Members,” added Dean McIntosh, senior vice-president of revenue, fan experience and community impact for Hockey Canada. “We are excited to work with OK Tire to continue to grow the game throughout our country, and look forward to seeing the impact this program will have on participants in future seasons.”

Along with the contest, OK Tire contributed $25,000 to the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund, which helps families facing financial barriers to hockey participation.

The program is part of a broader, multi-year partnership between OK Tire and Hockey Canada first announced in December 2024.
