Montesi returns to Davco as president
Davco has announced that Scott Montesi has returned to the company as president, bringing extensive leadership and industry experience.
Montesi rejoined the organization after spending the past two years with other Clarience Technologies businesses. He previously held leadership positions at Davco and played a key role in its growth within the commercial vehicle sector.
The company says Montesi’s return marks an important step as it prepares for new business opportunities and continued integration within the Clarience Technologies group.
KAG Canada’s Kim Miller to retire
After four decades with KAG Canada, Kim Miller will retire on Dec. 31.
Miller joined L.E. Matchett Trucking in 1985 as controller and played a key role in the company’s transformation from a small-town Prairie operation into the Canadian arm of KAG’s the business, the company says. Over the years, he advanced through several leadership positions, including chief financial officer and, most recently, executive vice-president of mergers and acquisitions across Canada.
“Kim’s been an integral leader on our journey from small-town trucking in the Prairies to becoming the Canadian operating group for the premier and largest bulk transportation and logistics companies in North America,” said Grant Mitchell, president and chief operating officer at KAG Canada, in a news release. “Kim’s leadership has been invaluable since day one.
“Kim, thank you for your passionate approach to everything KAG, for sincerely caring about our business and, more importantly, the people who make KAG who we are today,” Mitchell said. “And most of all — thank you for being you.”
American Tire Distributors appoints CFO
American Tire Distributors (ATD) has named Todd Pearce its new CFO, effective Oct. 6.
Pearce joins ATD from Continental Tire Americas, where he also served as CFO. He brings extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, performance optimization, and process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. ATD says his background will be key as the company continues expanding its market leadership and investing in long-term innovation.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Todd to the ATD leadership team,” said Ira B. Silver, president and CEO. “His financial acumen, strategic mindset, and collaborative approach make him a great fit for our culture and our ambitions. I’m confident he will play a pivotal role in shaping our future.”
Southeastern Freight Lines promotes Parker
Southeastern Freight Lines, a U.S.-based regional LTL fleet, has appointed Arthur Parker as service center manager in Lexington, Ky.
Parker began his career with the company nine years ago as a part-time freight handler at the West Atlanta, Ga., service center. He has since held several leadership roles, including management trainee, outbound and inbound supervisor, inbound operations manager, pickup and delivery operations manager, and most recently, assistant service center manager in Baton Rouge, La.
“Arthur has served Southeastern for nearly a decade, consistently fostering a positive culture, building meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional results while upholding our company values at the highest standard,” said Jason Hood, regional vice-president of operations, in a news release.
