Goodyear Tire & Rubber has opened nominations for its 42nd annual Highway Hero Award, which recognizes commercial truck drivers who perform acts of bravery while on duty.
Since 1983, the award has honored drivers who intervene in emergencies or protect others beyond their day-to-day responsibilities. Eligible nominees must hold a valid CDL and operate qualifying commercial vehicles, including long-haul trucks, vocational vehicles, infrastructure trucks, and non-lifesaving emergency vehicles with rim sizes greater than 19 inches.
The heroic act must have occurred while on duty between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, in Canada or the U.S.
Nominations are open through Jan. 31, 2026. Goodyear will review submissions and select approved nominees before a judging panel chooses a winner and up to two finalists. The winning driver will receive a cash prize and a flight on the Goodyear Blimp, with finalists also receiving cash awards.
