Accuride appointed Kent Jones as its new chief executive officer and a board of directors member, effective June 9.
Jones, a 30-year commercial vehicle industry veteran, previously served as president of Americas at SAF-Holland, according to a news release. His past leadership experience includes executive roles at ZF Group, Remy International, and Delco Remy.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kent to Accuride. He understands our industry and brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving innovation and growth,” said Fred Bentley, chairman of Accuride’s board, in the release. “We believe that Kent’s hire comes at the right time to deliver transformative leadership for the benefit of our company, our people, and our customers and business partners.”
Jones will be based at Accuride’s headquarters in Livonia, Mich.
The company also announced that Geoff Bruce will return to his role as president of Accuride Wheels. Robin Kendrick, who led the company as CEO since 2019 and helped steer it through its restructuring completed on March 7, stepped down from the board, effective June 9.
