CCT Auto Trans has announced its purchase of Thorsons Enclosed Vehicle Transportation (EVT), a leading Canadian provider of enclosed vehicle transportation services.

“We are excited about the acquisition of Thorsons and look forward to building on this well-established business throughout Canada and the United States”, said CCT Auto Trans president and CEO Chad Doiron.

“Thorsons has a very solid customer base, dedicated, long-term staff and drivers, and an outstanding safety and service record. This acquisition compliments our existing vehicle transportation service offering, expands our auto manufacturer and secondary market base, and provides exciting opportunities for growth in the coming years.”

Andy Thorndyke, co-founder of Thorsons, added “CCT has an excellent reputation for delivering damage-free, quality service on a consistent basis, so we feel comfortable our customers will receive the same customer experience they are accustomed to moving forward. Their resources, technology and culture were definitive factors in our choice to join CCT.”

CCT said in a release that Dave and Andy Thorndyke will remain involved in daily operations, and the employees and drivers are being retained. The business will continue to operate under the Thorsons EVT brand.

Left Lane Associates advised Thorsons on the deal.
