Montreal-based Fuel Transport has announced an $8-million investment in transport optimization, a new AI-driven initiative aimed at improving pricing, quoting and carrier selection across its North American operations.
The company said the project was developed in collaboration with Scale AI, Vooban, CRIM, Geloso Group and Les Camions Fuel, and is designed to enhance daily processes in its Canadian, U.S. and Mexican operations through deeper AI integrations and harnessing predictive intelligence.

“At Fuel, we believe true progress happens when intelligent technology works hand in hand with human instinct,” said Robert Piccioni, CEO of Fuel Transport, in a release. “With this initiative, we are not only elevating operational efficiency, but also redefining what it means to lead with insight, agility, and responsibility in the logistics sector.”
At the core of this initiative are four interoperable modules that connect internal and external data, enabling faster and more consistent decision-making capabilities, Fuel Transport claims.
These include: AI-driven tools for dynamic pricing and quote management that generate competitive rates based on real-time data and market dynamics; a carrier recommendations system that helps select business partners based on performance reliability, cost, and customer requirements; SOP management for tracking, visibility and compliance; and an internal employee assistant that allows team members to interact with systems using natural language and receive fast responses.
