Mack promotes breast cancer awareness with pink Pioneer, Anthem trucks

1 min read

Mack Trucks marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with two pink vehicles — the all-new Mack Pioneer and the “Pink Lady” Mack Anthem — as a tribute to those affected by breast cancer.

Displayed together at Mack’s headquarters in Greensboro, N.C., the Pink Lady Anthem, featuring a pink Mack wordmark across its grille, has long been a well-known symbol among employees. The addition of the pink-wrapped Pioneer, Mack’s newest heavy-duty model, links the brand’s heritage with its future in the fight against breast cancer.

“These special pink trucks celebrate the strength and resilience of breast cancer survivors, patients and their families while highlighting the importance of early detection and continued research,” the company said in a news release.

Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers, with about one in eight U.S. women diagnosed in their lifetime. Early detection through screening significantly improves outcomes, and Mack’s parent company — Volvo Group North America — supports this effort by offering on-site mobile mammography services for employees several times a year.
