Mack Trucks has presented an all-new Mack Pioneer to the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Share the Road drivers, marking its 25th consecutive year sponsoring the highway safety program.

Many Share the Road drivers have logged more than one million accident-free miles as they travel the country promoting safe driving practices around large trucks.

The handover took place during the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, Calif., where Mack also announced it will continue sponsoring ATA’s Workforce Heroes program in 2026, an initiative created to help recruit veterans into a career within the trucking industry.

“The Pioneer is Mack’s most advanced truck to date, featuring cutting-edge safety features, innovative new technologies, unmatched driver comfort and excellent fuel efficiency,” said Jonathan Randall, president of Mack Trucks North America, in a news release. “We are proud to be able to offer a new Pioneer to the Share the Road team so that they can bring important safety messages about travelling the roadways with heavy-duty trucks.”

The 76-inch Stand Up Sleeper Pioneer is powered by a 13-liter Mack MP13 engine producing 515 horsepower and 1,900 lb.-ft. of torque. It is paired with a 12-speed mDRIVE automated manual transmission and Mack Protect Pro, an active safety system featuring forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, radar detection, and pedestrian detection.

Mack also continues to sponsor ATA’s Workforce Heroes initiative, which uses a camouflaged Mack Anthem to visit military bases, career fairs, and schools to encourage veterans join the industry.

“Mack is proud to support both ATA programs,” said David Galbraith, vice-president of global brand and marketing. “Thank you to the ATA, the professional drivers and the fleets that allow them to participate in such worthwhile programs.”
