The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce awarded Mack Trucks with a Milestone Award, commemorating the company’s 125th anniversary. The award was presented during the Chamber’s annual meeting at Windham Creek Resort in Bethlehem, Pa.

Founded in a Brooklyn, N.Y., workshop by two brothers in 1900, Mack has grown into one of the world’s major truck OEMs. The company’s products have been used in major infrastructure projects, including the Hoover Dam, and Mack continues to develop new technologies across its heavy- and medium-duty lineup.

“Mack is honored to receive this prestigious Milestone Award from the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce,” said Stephen Roy, president of Mack Trucks, in the news release. “We assemble all of our Class 8 models right here in the Lehigh Valley, and we appreciate the hard work and commitment of the Chamber, the community and our employees, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this milestone.”

All Class 8 Mack trucks for North America are assembled at the Lehigh Valley Operations facility in Macungie, Pa., while Class 6 and 7 models are produced at Roanoke Valley Operations in Salem, Va.

“For 125 years, Mack Trucks has stood as a symbol of strength, craftsmanship and American ingenuity, and for 120 of those years, they’ve called the Lehigh Valley home,” said Frank Facchiano, chief operating officer and executive vice president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, in the release. “Mack’s legacy runs deep in our community – building not only world-class trucks, but also opportunity, pride and progress for generations. We are proud to honor this extraordinary milestone and the people who continue to drive Mack’s enduring spirit forward.”
