Musket Transport has awarded the 2025 Hamilton/Halton Region Resident A/Z Grant for Women to Alexis C.
She begins her six-week training in June at the carrier’s Commercial Heavy Equipment Training driving school, according to a news release.
Currently Alexis works as a personal support worker. Prior to that, she worked in waste management where she became familiar with heavy equipment. She eventually wants to become a U.S. highway driver for Musket Transport.
Meanwhile, the Mississauga-based grant recipient is nearing the completion of her training, and the runner-up has just passed her road test, the release stated.
