Officials placed a third of inspected commercial motor vehicles out of service during an enforcement initiative in Collingwood, Ont., on Sept. 10.
According to a news release, 33 vehicles were inspected and 11 were placed OOS. Officers also conducted 33 mandatory alcohol screening checks, resulting in one warn-range suspension.

Members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by Huronia West OPP, the OPP Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team, and the Ministry of Transportation, partnered during the initiative.
Eleven Highway Traffic Act charges were laid, including improper brakes, improper licence, overweight, and document offences.
