A Brampton truck driving school has been permanently closed by the province of Ontario, Ministry of Transportation spokeswoman Dakota Brasier confirmed to trucknews.com.
Local media first reported the closure of Peel Truck Driving School and Peel Driving School, which operate locations in Brampton and Guelph, Ont.
Both are listed on the MTO’s list of revoked driving schools.

“The Ontario government has zero tolerance for bad actors on our roads and in our driver’s licensing and training systems. That’s why we’re protecting Ontario by reviewing and improving driver education, training, and licensing,” Brasier said in a statement provided to trucknews.com.
The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario (TTSAO) quickly clarified the school is no longer a member.
“Peel Truck Driving School is no longer a member of TTSAO. This development reflects the current challenges facing truck training, with many schools potentially at risk in this environment,” TTSAO president Philip Fletcher posted on LinkedIn.
