Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have located the commercial motor vehicle and identified the driver wanted in connection with a fatal collision on Highway 401 that killed a tow truck operator.
Sergeant Ed Sanchuk said in a video posted on social media platform X that investigations are continuing.
On Dec. 3 at 7:18 a.m., members of the Oxford OPP detachment, paramedic services and fire services responded to a fail-to-remain collision in the westbound lanes, west of Oxford Road 3 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.
Emergency crews found a tow truck operator who had been struck by an unknown vehicle while assisting a motorist. The 42-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont. was pronounced dead at the scene. Sanchuk said no further information would be released as the investigation continues.
