Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a commercial motor vehicle that failed to remain at a collision on Highway 401 that killed a tow truck operator.
On Dec. 3 at 7:18 a.m., members of the Oxford OPP detachment, paramedic services and fire services responded to a fail-to-remain collision in the westbound lanes, west of Oxford Road 3 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim, according to a news release.
Emergency crews found a tow truck operator who had been struck by an unknown vehicle while assisting a motorist. The 42-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are asking for help identifying the pictured commercial motor vehicle and its occupant or occupants. The vehicle is described as a blue tractor-trailer with a black tarp on top. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact the Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
