Canadian transportation management system (TMS) provider Rose Rocket has announced its acquisition of AI firm Centro.
Toronto-based Centro transforms unstructured email into structured data that feeds directly into supply chain software systems, the companies announced.
As part of the acquisition, Centro’s co-founders, CTO Andrew Liu and CEO Jamyang Tenzin, are joining Rose Rocket, leading the integration of Centro’s IP with Rose Rocket’s AI-native TMS. It is Rose Rocket’s first acquisition.
“All software will fundamentally change in the next five years, and the TMS category will look completely different than it does today. With the coming fourth generation of TMS, the AI-native TMS, on the horizon, vendors and transportation companies will have to adapt or be left behind,” said Justin Sky, CEO and co-founder of Rose Rocket. “Rose Rocket is committing massive resources to be the best of the third and fourth generations. With our acquisition of Centro and their AI-native roots, it allows us to accelerate our transition by years.”
Meanwhile, Rose Rocket says it has improved its email large language model (LLM) accuracy to enable more reliable inbox-to-order workflows. It is launching its TED AI-native email assistant out of beta, which it says will put inboxes into autopilot, automatically turning shipment emails and attachments into booked orders while updating the TMS.
“TED completely changes the way we handle orders, we cut out hours of manual entry each week and eliminated costly errors,” said Morgan Hartz, owner of Blue Eagle Logistics, a trucking company focused on full-truckload operations in the U.S. “Having our inbox and TMS in sync means we can move faster and focus on customers instead of chasing data.”
Rose Rocket celebrates its 10th anniversary this November and now supports more than 100,000 supply chain professionals. It processed $2.7 bullion in freight last year.
