Trucking HR Canada (THRC) has added two new members to its board of directors: Carla Kaneski, chief financial officer at Arnold Bros. Transport, and Stephen Newton, national transportation lead consultant at Marsh.
Kaneski brings more than 13 years of experience in finance and operational leadership, with a track record of improving efficiency through automation, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and developing employee retention strategies, THRC said in a news release. Newton, meanwhile, contributes three decades of transportation industry expertise, specializing in fleet safety management for large fleets.

“The THRC board of directors is integral to shaping and guiding our organization’s strategic direction,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of THRC. “We look forward to benefitting from the insights and perspectives that Kaneski and Newton bring, given their significant experience within the industry.”
The board consists of senior leaders from across the trucking and logistics industry who provide oversight and support for the organization’s initiatives. Their guidance helps THRC staff develop programs that address workforce development, skills training, and long-term labor sustainability in the sector.
Splinter also thanked outgoing board member John Foss, vice-president of national accounts at Trailcon Leasing, for his years of service and contributions to the organization.
