Trucking HR Canada (THRC) is now accepting applications for its 2025 fall student work placement funding, supporting employers who hire students for non-driving roles in the trucking and logistics sector.
The funding comes through THRC’s Career ExpressWay program, which has helped fund 1,631 student placements across 248 employers since its launch in 2021, according to a news release. The initiative offers financial incentives of up to $7,000 per student to help employers reduce hiring costs while building their future workforce.

“The student work placement stream of Career ExpressWay supports employers in building their talent pipeline for non-driving roles,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada, in the release. “Employers have had great success with this program, with financial incentives to help introduce a new generation to trucking and logistics as an attractive, progressive career option.”
The program is delivered in partnership with more than 125 post-secondary institutions across Canada, giving students access to a wide range of work-integrated learning opportunities. THRC says that participating employers benefit from a reduced financial burden while gaining access to a growing pool of future talent.
Funded by the Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program, the initiative supports THRC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the labor pipeline in a sector facing persistent workforce challenges.
