Trucking announcements: KAG Canada promotes Gasi, M-O names assistant VP of sales

This week, KAG Canada announced a promotion, Maritime-Ontario appointed an assistant vice-president of sales, and Gallagher Canada hired a national transportation practice leader.

KAG Canada promotes Gasi to VP of operations

KAG Canada has promoted Besnik Gasi to vice-president of operations. He will oversee our terminals located in Eastern Canada including Brandon, Man.; Winnipeg; Thunder Bay, Ont.; Toronto; Sarnia, Ont and Ottawa.  

Gasi has spent his career in transportation and joined KAG Canada in 2023.

“We look forward to seeing Besnik lead the team in the East as well as investing his energy in their growth and development,” the company said in a release.

Maritime-Ontario appoints Shantz assistant VP, sales

Maritime-Ontario has welcomed Geoff Shantz as assistant vice-president, sales.

He has 20 years of experience in the LTL and intermodal sectors, the company said.

He has demonstrated a commitment to building relationships and strategic partnerships, the released added.

Gallagher Canada appoints Christie as national transportation practice leader

Gallagher Canda has welcomed Alexander Christie as its national transportation practice leader for Canada.

With expertise in commercial insurance and focus on longhaul and cross-border transportation operations, Alex brings a client-first approach to risk management, the company said.

Since joining Gallagher, Christie has played a role in expanding its transportation portfolio nationally, according to the company.
