Trucking announcements: New CFO at Kodiak Robotics, Fontaine Trailer names senior director of sales

Kodiak Robotics names Datta chief financial officer

AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology provider Kodiak Robotics announced that Surajit Datta has joined the company as chief financial officer.

Datta will be part of Kodiak’s executive leadership team and oversee its financial operations, according to a news release. He succeeds Eric Chow, who has been with Kodiak since January 2019, has served as CFO since 2022 and plans to remain at Kodiak through the end of 2025 to support the transition.

Datta will draw on his experience in financial operations and leadership at publicly traded artificial intelligence, semiconductor, and SaaS companies, as well as at investment banks, the company said in a release.

Farrel joins Fontaine Trailer as senior director of sales

Fontaine Trailer has named Jim Farrel as its senior director of sales.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, the company said.
“In this industry, relationships matter as much as products. My goal is to be a trusted partner and a strategic resource who helps our dealers and customers succeed,” Farrel said in a news release.

ClaimsPro names Andre an adjustor

ClaimsPro, provider of independent claims adjusting services and an SCM company, appointed Natasha Andre as an adjuster within the transportation, equipment and cargo (TEC) unit.

Part of ClaimsPro’s specialty risk division, the TEC unit delivers loss adjusting services to the transportation, logistics, equipment, and trucking industries. Andre’s appointment will support TEC’s growing footprint in Western Canada, the company said in a news release.

Andre has 14 years of industry experience. Since 2011, she has advanced through progressive roles with large national firms across the Canadian insurance industry.

She will support ClaimsPro’s transportation and trucking clients with loss adjusting services in Alberta and Western Canada, the company announced.

TEN Canada hires Garrity as national account executive

TEN Canada has hired Rob Garrity as a national account executive.

He has decades of experience in trailer leasing and account management. Garrity brings industry knowledge and a proven track record of supporting client relationships in the market.

“We’re thrilled to have Rob on board and look forward to the impact he’ll make within our team and customers,” the company stated.

KAG Canada promotes Belcher to Calgary terminal manager

KAG Canada announced that Brittney Belcher has been promoted to terminal manager for its Calgary facility. She will replace Leigh Fex, who is retiring at the end of September, according to a news release.

Belcher has worked out of the company’s Edmonton, Langley, B.C., and Calgary terminal locations where she held roles in administration, safety and operations.
