The AGM was followed by the club’s 110th gala, held Dec. 4 in Metro Toronto Convention Centre, bringing nearly 1,400 industry professionals together.

Stefanovich addressed the crowd, sharing three lessons he’s learned through his involvement with the TTC.

“The first lesson I’ve learned is that we are better together than we are apart,” he said, highlighting the friendships that are formed, even between competitors.

He also shared the need to promote and be strong advocates of the industry. And the third lesson he highlighted was that “anything is possible.”

Stefanovich shared how he started at the club as a volunteer before joining the board in 2017 and “here I am today as your incoming president.”

Following dinner, attendees heard from Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Canadian physician, author, recently retired NFL player and Super Bowl champion who traded his cleats for scrubs in 2020 to volunteer in long-term care homes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

TTC has also presented $44,500 in scholarship funding to five students attending a post-secondary school in 2026.

And Peter Collins was recognized with the Platinum Award of Distinction for ‘outstanding contribution and participation’ on behalf of long-time contributor and sponsor Maxon Lift Canada.
